Favourite Nude Lipsticks

On a day to day basis, my favourite lipsticks are usually pinky toned nudes. And I have a large variety to choose from! Somehow every time i'm in an airport or a department store or even sometimes a supermarket I see another colour which needs to be added to my collection... So I thought I would share my top 5 with you!

Kylie Jenner Matte Liquid Lipstick: Koko K

I bought a variety of Kylie Jenner Lipkits a while ago, including Koko K, Posie K, Candy K and 22. I really love them, and think the consistency and longevity is absolutely fab. For a normal day though, Koko K is incredible. I love it! The only thing to mention though, is that you have to make sure your lips are well exfoliated and moisturised before you apply it, otherwise I find by the end of the day your lips look a bit flaky and messy.

Rosie for Autograph Lipstick: Lady Rose

I love picking up this lipstick just because it has rose gold packaging. Oh yes, and the lipstick is awesome. This shade is Lady Rose. Classic colour, great finish, easy to reapply throughout the day, doesn't stick to your teeth. Winner!

Sleek Gloss Me: Angel Falls

This gloss is a lot lighter than all the other shades in this post, but I really like it. Considering that it's such an affordable brand, I think the colour payoff is fantastic, and it really isn't very sticky; which is a deal breaker for me!

Mac Satin Lipstick: Faux

I think everyone has a lipstick that gets left in the bottom of the handbag "just in case" and this is mine. It is my perfect nude, the satin finish is one of my favourites, as you get good colour opacity, with a semi-matte finish, but it is quite moisturising. I love wearing this lipstick on it's own for a polished finish to my makeup, or glamming it up with a swipe of gloss over the top!

Rimmel Kate Lipstick: 08

I'm not normally a fan of cheaper lipsticks, they never seem to last quite as well as higher end ones. However I do like this one, so much so I accidentally bought it twice. The finish is nice, you do need to put a couple of layers on for a solid colour, and you need to be careful as it seems to get on my teeth quite a bit. But, for about £6 you can't argue, it looks great.

Swatches?

I hope you like seeing my favourite nude lipsticks (and gloss!) if you're into pinky nude shades, let me know if I need any others...
Also as part of my refresh, I would love to get some new post ideas, so if there is anything you would like to see on my blog in the future, leave me a comment letting me know!

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge

I have been a long time fan of beauty blenders, but I can't justify buying an original one, as they don't really last that long, compared to a brush... However, I am a huge fan of the Real Techniques sponges, as I think their shape is spot on - with a delicate point at one end, so you can really work into the inner corners of your eyes and around your nose, and a flat edge at the other to blend foundation across your cheeks.

I think the finish I get from this blender is great, and I feel I use less product when I use a blender than I do when I use my regular brush. The only thing I don't like is cleaning them. If anyone knows a miracle product that can save me a lot of time I would love to know, because I can never get them perfect again!

Let me know what you think of these blenders. Personally I think for about £6 they are fab, and just as good as the £16 you will be paying for the original one!

Instant Whites

I was rather excited a few weeks ago as I was sent a pack of Instant Whites 7 Day Teeth Whitening System to try. For those who know me, I am always drinking tea, so stained teeth is somewhat of a problem that I am always trying to combat!

Unlike a lot of teeth whitening kits, this one was quick and easy to use, after brushing my teeth before bed, all I needed to do was push down on the end of the stick to release the whitening fluid and rub it all over my teeth - fab!

I've used quite a lot of whitening treatments before, some of which have worked but a lot have left my teeth feeling really sensitive, which wasn't ideal - however these ones didn't hurt or tingle in the slightest! They definitely helped them get whiter as well, although I'm not sure they went the 9 shades whiter advertised. Probably more along the 4/5!

A lovely Weekend Away

A couple of weekends ago, my boyfriend and I were lucky enough to be offered the chance to stay in a Travelodge for a couple of nights, wherever we wanted, which was amazing! I love seeing my family (and it doesn't happen very often) so we took the opportunity to go and spend a time in Kingswinford, which is close to Wolverhampton.

The Kingswinford Travelodge is a really lovely building!
The bed was so comfortable, it was lovely to go back to it after a long day!

Can I just say... whoever put this bottle opener in was a genius! I love quirky features!
When we go there the building was awesome, it looked like an old manor house which had been converted. The staff were so lovely when we went in, they told us about a couple of places nearby, and said if we needed any other recommendations to let them know! We actually did decide to go to West Midlands Safari Park, because I'm basically an overgrown child who loves animals, and it was such a fab day!

Sadly there wasn't a café at this Travelodge, but we were given a breakfast box both mornings, which was more than enough to start us up for the day, and can I just say - those muffins are awesome! There were also unlimited tea and coffee top-ups available for our room, which was great as both my boyfriend and I are tea addicts!
I can safely say I will definitely be staying in a Travelodge again soon, as it really was a lovely nights sleep, in a fab location!

MFW Fall 2016 - My Favourite Shows

I may have been a little late posting my favourite London RTW Shows, but I am back on track this Tuesday with Milan! I've been really enjoying following the shows over the last month, and it's been great to look forward and start thinking about my wardrobe, one think I am definitely going to be including is a cape, as I have seen them across so many shows, Milan included.
Let me know what you think, and next week my favourite Paris RTW shows will be up as this series concludes!
Prada

This season, the main concept of Prada was understanding the different aspects of the real woman, from key moments in life such as difficulties, love, pain, happiness etc. The clothes were (as always) stunning, with well cut coats, amazing prints and more key military themes.

Gucci
Alessandro Michele, Gucci Creative Director, described this season's collection as “some of my passions.” Street style, the Renaissance, the Seventies, “and a little injection of some chic points of the Eighties." It is such an incredible collection, from fun ponchos, to beautifully cut suits, there really is something for everyone!

Fendi
A key feature this season for Fendi were the waves in his creations, long flowing skirts, dropped waist dresses, trousers, coats.... they were everywhere. And the overall effect of the variety of luxurious materials was wonderful.

Versace
This season, Versace focused on the silhoutte, there were nipped in waists, belted coats and hints of skin. There was an athletic theme running through. with sporty lines and jersey fabric, however, the clothes were incredibly detailed, with shots of bright colour interjecting navy.

Bottega Venetta
Creative Director Tomas Maier said in his program notes "I like it when effects are not so obvious" and "something that's usually very fancy doesn't need to be. It can be done differently." Well he definitely achieved that. The colours were muted and understated, and there was nothing "garish" in this collection. Instead, there was classic luxury. Beautifully cut pieces, in stunning fabrics. The kind of clothes you could put on, and know you're going to look and feel perfect for any situation.
